FAQs
Is Parivahan sewa real or fake?
Absolutely real! Parivahan Sewa is the official government portal created by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in India. It’s completely trustworthy and widely used for services like applying for a driving licence, vehicle registration, and paying road taxes. Just make sure you’re on the correct website: https://parivahan.gov.in
What happens if I am absent on the day of the driving licence test?
If you miss your driving test, don’t panic — but you will need to reschedule it. Usually, your application stays valid for a limited period (about 6 months), so you can book another test date from the Sarathi Parivahan portal. But if you delay too long, you might have to apply again.
How many times can a learner’s license be renewed?
A learner’s licence is typically valid for 6 months, and it can be renewed once if needed. But it’s best to prepare and appear for the driving test during the valid period to avoid repeating the process.
Can we cancel an application in Parivahan?
Yes, in most cases, you can cancel or withdraw your application on the Parivahan portal. If you made a mistake or changed your mind, look for the option under your application status. For more help, you can visit your local RTO or call the helpline.
Are mParivahan documents valid?
Yes, the digital documents shown in the mParivahan app — like your driving licence and vehicle RC — are fully valid and accepted under the Motor Vehicles Act and the IT Act, 2000. Even traffic police across India now accept these digital versions.
How many attempts are allowed for the driving licence (DL) test?
You get multiple attempts for the driving licence test, but there are some rules. If you fail, you usually have to wait 7 days before trying again. However, if you keep failing, your learner’s licence may expire, and you’ll need to reapply from scratch.
