Via Parivahan Portal (VAHAN)
- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has a VAHAN website. Visit the official VAHAN website: https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/ or https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/.
- Click on Know Your Vehicle Details.

- Now log in using your mobile number and password. (Register if you are not registered on this portal.)
- Enter the vehicle number and the captcha code to search.
- Click Search Vehicle to know your vehicle details.

Via mParivahan Mobile App
- Download and install the mParivahan app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
- Sign in using your mobile number, and password. If you haven’t yet registered, you can do that on the app.

Temporary Registration
- Temporary registration is provided by the dealer of the vehicle at the time the vehicle is bought.
- It is valid for the range of 7 to 30 days. During this time period, the registration needs to be changed to permanent registration.
Permanent Registration
