- Claim Denial: Driving under the influence or with no license may lead to denied claims on insurance covering accidents.
- Recommendation: To avoid penalties, a driver should avoid a record of violations, hold a valid insurance policy (₹2,000–4,000 for no insurance), and maintain a clean driving history.
Penalties Beyond Fines
Focusing on extrinsic, non-financial restrictions:
- Suspension of License: Engaging in violations may result in a 3-month to life license suspension such as riding without a helmet or driving under the influence.
- Impounding of Vehicle: Driving without a license or overloading a vehicle may lead to seizure of the vehicle, with release contingent on fines and documentation.
